RETIRED GOVERNORS (in last 12 months)

Amy Barnsley - Staff Governor

Amy was appointed as Staff Governor in April 2022. Amy is a class teacher and is Key Stage Leader for Primary, Key Stages 1 and 2. Amy resigned her post in January 2024.

 

Joanne Ben-Slama - PARENT GOVERNOR

Joanne was appointed as a Parent Governor in February 2021. Joanne, whose son Anis attends Great Arley, has previously been a PTFA Chairperson at St Cuthbert's Catholic Academy where she enjoyed helping to encourage learning whilst having fun and being creative. Joanne is passionate about helping all children at Great Arley School to succeed.

Joanne resigned from her parent governor role in September 2023. 

 

Mrs Linda Owers - CO-OPTED GOVERNOR

Linda was originally appointed by the Governing Body on 12/03/2014, having previously been a Teacher Governor for 8 years. She was appointed by the Governing Board to her second term of office on 12/03/18 for a further four-year term.

Linda was a teacher at Great Arley School from 1999 until 2013 and a Teacher Governor from 2005 to 2013. As an experienced primary teacher, now retired, and school governor, she is ideal in her role as one of our nominated governors for safeguarding.

Linda was the Chair of the Building, Health & Safety Committee. Linda retired from her role in 2022.
