Chinese New Year - Yellow Class
To celebrate Chinese New year Primary Yellow looked at a map to see where China was. We also watched a video to understand their culture and how they celebrated their new year.
We celebrated the year of the dragon by making our own dragons from playdough and small parts and even bigger dragons from 2D shapes. We also took part in some dragon dancing!
We then had a go at writing our names in Chinese and sharing these with our friends.
To end our day of learning we experienced some different Chinese foods and tried our best to think of an adjective to describe each of them. We gave each of the foods a thumbs up or a thumbs down. The prawn crackers were given a thumbs up by everyone! Well done Primary Yellow.
